Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• The Accounting Manager must maintain accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in recording and reporting financial statements, possess problem-solving skills, work well with fellow employees and vendors/customers, and have strong computer skills working with accounting software and Excel
• Assist in the issue of timely and complete financial statements
• Review and distribute weekly profit & loss reports
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger
• Assist with the budget process
• Special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
• Period end closing procedures
• Manage and oversee the operations of the accounting team
• Perform monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Understand company AR, AP, and payroll process to assist as a backup as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong computer fluency in Windows, Word, Outlook
• High level Excel proficiency in pivot tables, vlookup, if statements, index, and other various formulas and data manipulations
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Analytical thinker & strong desire to learn and improve our processes
• Must be able to work as part of a team to complete work effectively
• Experience in the produce industry not required but a plus
• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from a four-year college or university in Business/Finance/Accounting or at least 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
