Job Description
Department: Food Safety
Salary: DOE $
Job Function:
- As Safety, oversees documentations produced by personnel in safety department.
- Assist with internal inspection program, including 3rd party audits.
- Responsibility (authority) for quality and food safety.
- Update company safety & food safety program.
- Handles daily safety documentation.
- Assists farm supervisors to understand and implement company policies.
- Implement and maintain all food safety related documents for the operations.
- Identify, document, and report suggested corrective action for continuous compliance and improvement. Direct communication with personnel from other departments.
- Documentation for Food Safety, Labor, Safety, Health, and Occupational Laws (Federal Osha, Cal Osha, ADOSH, EPA-WPS, DOL).
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the employees are utilizing GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) practices, and all associated paperwork is completed and provided.
- Updates all Food Safety documentation and interacts with all other personnel that have Safety tasks.
- Provide all required training for new personnel in a timely manner.
- Responsible for reviewing all safety aspects of the operation.
- Responsible for supplying safety items to safety personnel.
- Report and document any safety infractions. Follow disciplinary action program.
- Ensure GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices), and good handling practices, including hand cleaning, etc., are always met.
- Communicate effectively with safety manager all topics that might affect company policies.
- Collaborate with other safety members to coordinate safety duties promptly.
