Job Description
Gabilan Ag Services is a producer of organic and conventional compost with facilities throughout central California. We are a privately-owned business that has been growing steadily and we are seeking an experienced and responsible Inventory Supervisor. This is a skilled position involving the oversight and compliance for manufacturing and production at several composting facilities as well as the implementation of a process for Shop Inventory. This position is responsible for working with staff at the yards as well as the office to insure the safe, efficient and compliant production of all products and the timely and accurate reporting of all inventory.
Requirements:
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards
- Manage product credential portfolios
- Manage and oversee 3rd party testing activities, including sample preparation, maintaining records, and keeping up to date with renewals.
- Accurate and efficient record keeping, following regulations and procedures
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English and be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Supervisory experience.
- Record keeping, following regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of the composting process is a plus
- Must be able to meet physical demands that include but are not limited to: sitting or standing for extended periods of time and working in inclement weather.
- Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record

- Strong Microsoft Office and data entry computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills in both Spanish and English
- Experience in writing and executing policies and procedures
- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
- Able to work independently and make recommendations and decisions
Examples of Work:
- Prepare and/or maintain various reports, records and/or logs (e.g., production, quality, food safety, organic compliance etc.)
- Periodic review of facilities to ensure all material is clearly marked and accounted for
- Identify materials being blended and ensure accurate documentation is obtained on a daily basis
- Obtain Production Sheets from yards for all material and enter into software daily
- Review Inventory pricing and quantities to identify issues/discrepancies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
