About me

I have spent a lifetime in the Ag industry, as a fourth-generation farmer in San Juan Bautista. I grew up on a farm and understand what it takes to grow a crop, and how weather can affect supply and quality. After leaving the family farm I went on to manage coolers, where I came to understand the issues that the cooler can face including late trucks, bad product rotation, long cooling times, just to name a few.
After managing coolers, I transitioned into supply chain management with Missionero. There I learned how to work with sales and production to keep both sales happy and production at a bare minimum of hold over so that we could minimize the amount of raw product that ran out of spec. I learned how to build spreadsheets in excel and manage Famous.
Then it was onto harvest management. As a harvest manager I learned how to deal with customers, how to sell the program, and the importance of giving and receiving accurate information. I have a collective ten years of experience in this role working for Pride of San Juan, Missionero, C.H. Robinson, Uesugi Farms, Spinaca Farms, and J2 Ag Enterprises.
All of the positions that I have held make me a great fit for this role. Having the understanding of what it takes to get the product harvested, cooled and ready to either processed or sold gives me an understanding of what is realistic. I also have an extreme since of urgency when it comes to getting things done, a skill I believe every position needs.
