Position Reports To: Sr. Director of Operations

Salary: $112,931.11 – $141,163.88 / Yearly

Summary Description

This position is responsible for the daily operations of all domestic and international warehouses, including third-party facilities. This role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality handling, storage, and packaging of berries. The manager will lead teams across multiple locations, maintain inventory control, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the global warehouse and packing operations across multiple domestic, international, and third-party locations.
  • Manage the daily packing and warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, packing, and shipping of berries to all locations.
  • Plans, manages, and executes the daily workflow of the Cooler’s; schedules to ensure product flow, and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
  • Oversee and coordinate with third-party warehouse providers, ensuring the meet company standards for food safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, rotate product to minimize aging, and ensure the proper allocation of product to orders.
  • Develop implement, and continuously improve SOPs for all warehouses.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Food Safety managers to ensure all berries meet customer specifications and global safety standards.
  • Maintain daily communication with Sales to coordinate and prioritize product allocation and order shipment.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, inventory, and quality metrics.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of packing and warehouse equipment at each facility and plans for all future modifications and upgrades for facilities, machines, and equipment.
  • Maintains integrity of product quality and Good Manufacturing Practices / Food Safety program.
  • Facility Sanitation and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Negotiations facility related expenses such as building and machine maintenance for Refrigeration systems, Fresh Tech Machine, Forklifts.
  • Ensures facility is in good working condition including facility maintenance, machine preventative maintenance program, etc.
  • Manages Safety Trainings for all staff at company owned coolers. Works with staff to gain resources and tools for success.
  • Ensure all requirements for Audits are complete and in compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or other related field. 2 additional years of experience in lieu of education.
  • 5 years’ experience in Cooler/Warehouse Operations management
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
  • Knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations surrounding a cooling facility
  • Knowledge of Sanitation and Food Safety practices
  • Supervisory skills to address employee issues and training of staff.
  • Skill in using MS Office for email correspondence, production analysis, and other related tasks.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with remote locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
  • Travel within the United States, Mexico, and occasionally other global countries is a requirement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

 

Physical Requirements

  • This position must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 20-25 lbs .
  • Near vision skills and ability to detect colors
  • Must be able to work in refrigerated environments majority of the day.
