Job Description
A well-established growing produce company is seeking a Sales and Procurement Representative experienced in the fruit category, who will play a critical role in managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Stay current with market trends, industry developments, and customers’ needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions for customer requirements, including logistics coordination.
- Provide customers with updates on crop conditions, market fluctuations, and product availability.
- Procurement of fruits with a focus on commodities such as apples, strawberries, and citrus.
- Participate in occasional travel for customer meetings, supplier visits, and trade shows.
- Maintains accurate product description, cost, pack-size in inventory management system.
- Maintains accurate vendor information – contacts, freight, order guides, in the vendor management system.
- Reviews product usage reports to assess any increase or decrease in product usage.
