Job Description

The Auto Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the company’s auto machines; including, daily maintenance inspections, basic adjustments, and reporting.

Essential Duties for the Auto Machine Operator include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform inspection of machines by selecting and setting up precision gaging to ensure external and internal quality specifications and requirements
  • Adhere to and follow all company safety policies and procedures to assure commitment to 100% safe work environment.
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Strive to improve customer satisfaction through improved quality, reduction in waste and improved productivity.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalate appropriate.
  • Have the ability to conduct changeovers and equipment adjustments without mechanical support.
  • Measure and record data associated with production, efficiency, downtime, and quality.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Participate in safety trainings, orientations and all other company meetings as required
  • Report all injuries to supervisor immediately regardless of how slight they might seem

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Related experience, prior training, and/or computer skills highly desirable
  • Ability and awareness to see obstacles and dangers, such as, ditches, irrigation pipes, parked or moving vehicles, pedestrians, trees, and overhead electrical wires
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time while twisting torso to watch the harvest team move product containers from machine to tractor trailers
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground in field locations
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours
  • Ability to travel between Salinas (April-November) and Yuma (November-April)
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour
